This is a major issue for me!! Back in Florida we could purchase beer in a grocery store, a wal-mart or any local gas stations. You get gas pick up a 6 or 12 pack and be on your merry fucking way.
Not in PA. Here you can only purchase beer in a distributor and only by the case. Not that I have much of a problem running through a case of beer, but I don't want to always keep that much beer on hand. Sometimes only having six beers hanging out in the fridge is a great way of setting a personal limits for myself. If I know there are 18 more after I down the first six I may not be responsible enough to stop where I should..but I am getting off subject!
One can also purchase a 6-pack at a bar, but pay through the ass for that and I am not always wanting to saunter into a bar just to pick up a quick six.
Now if you fancy something a little stronger than beer you will need to visit a state run wine and spirits store. These are easy to spot, because all the cars parked in the lot are no where near the designated paking spaces. We have one near the house and we have seen a few people park on the sidewalk and stagger into the store! They usually place these establishments as close to schools as possible.
